Full Spectrum Print & Marketing, based in Basildon, Essex, has expanded its production capabilities with the installation of a Platinum 1325 UV flatbed printer and a Titanium 2516 digital CAD cutting table. The investment strengthens the company’s ability to deliver wide format printing, packaging prototypes and specialist printed graphics for clients across the UK.
The two machines, supplied by International Graphic Supplies (IGS), were installed in October and form part of Full Spectrum’s ongoing strategy to invest in modern technology that improves efficiency, precision and production flexibility.
The new equipment allows the company to significantly expand its UV flatbed printing and precision cutting services, offering new possibilities for retail displays, packaging development, signage and bespoke print projects.
The Platinum 1325 UV flatbed printer enables Full Spectrum to print directly onto a wide range of rigid materials, making it ideal for signage, retail graphics and interior displays.
Using Ricoh Gen6 printhead technology, the machine delivers high-resolution print quality with excellent colour consistency and durability. UV inks cure instantly under ultraviolet light, allowing prints to be handled immediately and ensuring strong adhesion across materials such as:
Foamex
Dibond
Acrylic and Perspex
Corrugated board
Display panels
Specialist packaging materials
This allows Full Spectrum to produce wide format graphics and signage in-house, including wall graphics, floor graphics, window displays and retail point-of-sale materials.
For businesses looking for wide format printing in Essex, the addition of the Platinum UV printer allows the company to offer faster turnaround times while maintaining exceptional print quality.
Working alongside the UV printer is the Titanium 2516 digital CAD cutting table, a high-precision finishing system designed for cutting, creasing and routing a wide variety of substrates.
The machine features a 2.5m x 1.6m cutting bed with conveyor feed, allowing larger materials to be processed efficiently while maintaining extremely accurate cutting tolerances.
The cutting system includes several specialised tools designed to support different applications:
Drag knife cutting for vinyl and printed graphics
Creasing wheels for packaging prototypes and carton development
Oscillating knife for thicker materials such as Foamex and corrugated board
Router cutting for rigid substrates including acrylic and Dibond
Kiss cutting for labels and sticker production
This versatility allows Full Spectrum to produce short-run packaging samples, prototype cartons, custom signage and specialist display products.
The combination of UV flatbed printing and CAD cutting provides a highly efficient workflow for packaging prototype printing in the UK.
Design teams and product developers can quickly move from concept to finished prototype, allowing packaging ideas to be tested before committing to full-scale production.
Kevin Walker, CEO of Full Spectrum Print & Marketing, explained:
“Expanding our packaging and wide format capabilities has been an important goal for the business. The Platinum UV printer and Titanium cutting system allow us to produce packaging prototypes, retail displays and specialist print products quickly and accurately.
Seeing the machines working together in a live production environment was key to our decision. The combination gives us the flexibility we need to support both existing customers and new sectors.”
The investment has already enabled Full Spectrum to offer a broader range of wide format and specialist print services.
The workflow between the UV printer and CAD cutting table allows the company to produce a wide variety of applications, including:
Packaging mock-ups and prototypes
Retail display graphics
Window and wall graphics
Custom signage and display boards
Labels and kiss-cut stickers
Floor graphics and promotional displays
This combination of printing and precision cutting in-house reduces production time while ensuring consistent quality across every project.
The installation of the Platinum 1325 and Titanium 2516 reflects Full Spectrum’s ongoing commitment to investing in modern production equipment.
By combining lithographic printing, digital print, wide format printing, CAD cutting and specialist finishing, the company continues to strengthen its ability to deliver complete print solutions for businesses across the UK.
